Get Ya Motor Running

Just no.  No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Or as the Brazilian commentators so beloved of TV and radio outlets everywhere might say, “Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!” Once again we can blame the corrupt filthpigs of FIFA for forcing us to remain awake, watching football for over 8 hours. That’s almost an entire working day, but in the middle of the night. And that’s just not on.

Head Out On The Highway

Now normally, I would just take it in my stride. On your average weekend I would happily be up listening to pumping Electronic Dance Music or quaffing espressos in a nightime café. However, ask me to watch four football matches one after the other and it’s going to be a struggle.

Which isn’t to take anything away from Ivory Coast or Japan. They both performed creditably. Although for a while it looked like the Ivory Coast hadn’t bothered to turn up as the Japanese appeared to take control of the first half. However, by the end the Ivory Coast were well on top.  They may be an aging side, but they have, at last found a group easy enough to qualify from.

Ultimately, both must feel they can better Colombia and Greece and go through at the end.
